Australia’s first 100% raw, organic*, grain-free bread

The perfectly formed sandwich size slices of Sunbread are lovingly handmade and dehydrated below 40°C to retain precious phytonutrients, enzymes and oils.

The recipe is based on sprouted sunflower seeds, activated chia seeds and flax seeds. It is gluten free, making it a perfect choice for celiacs and has a low glycemic index. This combined with being low carb, low sodium and low calorie, means it is also great for weight loss.

Sunflower seeds are a complete protein and a rich source of essential fatty acids (EFA’s). They are perhaps the most nutrient rich of all seeds. “They are one of the best natural foods that we can eat regularly, as they supply many vital nutrients needed for growth and repair.”** Sprouting significantly increases the biological availability of these nutrients which include vitamin E, selenium, folate, magnesium, manganese, B1 and phosphorous.***
Flax and chia seeds also contain many of these nutrients and together make a powerful source of Omega-3 EFA’s. Chia seed is also very hydrophilic absorbing ten times its own body weight in water (helping to keep you hydrated) and has a very high protein content (30%) making it an ideal food for athletes.
Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids cannot be produced within the body. They must be acquired through the diet and are necessary for shiny hair, clear skin and healthy nails. They possess scientifically proven health benefits, reducing both blood pressure and risk of heart disease.**** Making Omega-3’s an important part of your daily diet for beauty, inside and out!

In addition to this, all the above nutrients are essential in the maintenance of brain function, energy production and the formation of powerful free radical scavengers.
While we do not make any claims that Sunbread can do any of these things, it is without a doubt that a well balanced nutritionally optimal diet, free from white flour, sugar, refined salt, additives and preservatives will help in achieving a better quality of life and health.
As Hippocrates said “Your foods shall be your remedies and your remedies shall be your foods.”
It is my pleasure to bring this product to you. May you enjoy the guilt free goodness of every bite!
